The socialite, turned model and business lady, says she loves masculine stuff (you should see her Rolex watch) explaining why she went for the black 4WD all-wheel drive ride, replacing her two-seat MR2 (Toyota Spyder) and her first import, a Honda.
“I felt that I had outgrown the MR2. It is limiting and people don’t take you seriously when transacting business. Image is everything,” she says, noting that her X5 (a year 2008) complements her new serious lady image.
“Besides, it is like a house. I can always carry my extra pair of bags, shoes, sunglasses, a trench coat and an umbrella in it. It frees me into my world,” she adds.
Even though she admits that she does not like speed, Vera says she likes the respect the new ride commands on the road and the sense of respect and pride it gives her.
“It can be intimidating on the road. Some men don’t like that, I mean, I am this young girl ruling the highway… Sometimes it acts as a turn on to men…,” she jokes.
In conclusion, Vera says she hasn’t done a lot of changes on both the exterior and the interior as the original form is quite superb.
“I don’t have to say how much it cost me. I mean, guys can go google it,” she concludes.
