Before going on ranking these men, I must say that I have nothing but respect for all
these men and these are the opinions of their female viewers from our personal research.
5. Larry Madowo
NTV’s “fun guy” makes it to the top five but ranks last in the
listings. According to the women in the office he appears self-absorbed
and tries too hard to make news conversational and less uptight.
Unfortunately he goes overboard and it comes off as unnatural.
However Larry gets points for his “in person” persona. Apparently he only turns into “Hyper Larry” on television.
4. Johnstone Mwakazi
Citizen TV’s smooth talking deep voiced “insurance salesman” takes
number four in the rankings. As voiced by the ladies, Johnstone is easy
to listen to, looks good in a suit and has a poetic charm in his work.
But sometimes the theatrics are a bit much and he comes off as “stiff”
at times.
3. Hussein Mohammed
Hussein Mohammed is the sharply dressed Muslim fellow who women have
been swooning over since his introduction to Citizen news.
He’s ranked as hot because he is intellectual and “he looks like one
of the few anchors who actually knows the news he is reading”. His only
disadvantage is his suits. Apparently they are too shiny but the way he
wears them sells the look.
2. Bernard Ndong
The buff Citizen TV sports anchor is ranked number two because he is
very eloquent and knows his subject matter. It also doesn’t hurt that
he looks like a body builder. His facial features have also been
mentioned as a topic of interest.
1. Mark Masai
And at number one as voted by the female viewers
is NTV’s Mark Masai. He speaks well, is genuine and has a “nice smile”.
In addition, his voice is listed as the most appealing of all the
anchors.
